Jen Jen is a grouchy ol biotch, ...the last couple of days....anyone else notice this with thier puppers? Or should I blame it on menopause? Or just bad parenting?

They say 'let sleeping dogs lie" for a reason. Dogs can get cranky in the heat too.

That's a great question. My puppers do get more lethargic in the heat. However, today when I was walking Pokey he just looked at two little white haired ladies and said, "BARK!!" One lady said, "Bark back to you!" I agreed, and told Pokey to settle down and be a good boy.

Hmmm... mine are not cranky in the heat. Just laaaaaaaazy (except Rowdie - she's the energizer bunny unless she's sick with the flu her brother gave her.) My vote is bad parenting! :rotfl:

Tasha definitely gets lazy, but I hadn't noticed cranky.

Heidi and Princess have never been cranky yet,, maybe that comes with older age??,, They do get more lethargic in the very very hot weather and I try my hardest to keep them inside with the AC, but they get so stubborn and want to be outside and then they are silly but they sit in the hot sun instead of finding shade and even though I put the huge bowl of water in the shade to coax them into staying in the shade they still prefer sitting in the hot sun...

If crankiness comes with age, then Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt must be about 150 years old. She's an ornery little cussipoo.

Man, if heat made us cranky, we'd be pissed off 10 months of the year here in Texas!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
