Hot Puppers

Anybody have advice on keeping the San Diego puppers cool during this heat wave? We don't have AC and my two have been sleeping non-stop. I woke them up a few times to drink some ice water, but they are pretty dang lethargic.

Get some K-9 Restart. It is like doggie gatoraid powder thta you mix with water. It won't cool them off but will help with dehydration.

You can use an old camping trick...make shift air conditioner.

Fill a cooler with ice and blow a box fan across the top then sit in front of it. It really does work.

We got a pool from auntie lee anne and cami woves it....She bites the reflections for hours:rotfl: ....mine also chew on ice cubes and frozen green beans....and I gave them cool bathes 2 days in a row......will that K-9 restart work for me????
It was 101 degrees here yesterday and 87 in my house w/ air conditioning!!!!!
Come over on the 4th Good we can sit in the kiddie pool w/ the dogs and have a cold one!!!!!

All I can say, is invest in one of the little portable fan/h2o cooler things. They have some pretty decent ones that don't cost lots of$$$$$$$. I don't have AC either, but if you can't afford the above mentioned coolie/fan things, get some box fans and put those babies infront of them!!!! On blankies with their Momma too. I'd hate to think of you meltin' away!!

We used the fax, cooler of ice method when it was really hot and we didn't have a/c. Also, take them for a ride in the air conditioned car....

I have a cooling collar that you wet, then freeze and its supposed to help. I've not actually tried it yet.
