Romandachs Pumkin Pie MWP, aka Pumkin Pie, went Winners Bitch at 7.5 months of age, second time EVER in the ring, for a Specialty Win under Canadian Breeder Judge Guy Jeavons AND It was a 3 point major!!

She and Dana's Oreo are littermates, both piebald, both pointed toward their Championships.

Also, Taking Reserve Winners Dog, Romandachs Ole Lump O' Coal MW, owned and shown by Cindy Rentas, who I am helping get started. When she got Coal's picture, Cindy asked me to get in the picture with her as Coal's breeder and Guy said, Oh you bred this one too. He said he would have gotten Winners Dog if it hadn't been for his handler!! Cindy was a little upset but you couldn't pull her off the cloud for taking Reserve to a Major at a Specialty.
Additionally, Romandachs Indiana Girl MWCP was Reserve Winners Bitch to the major on the SAME Day.
Then if all of this wasn't quite enough.....Dylan, CH Romandachs Son Of The Wave MWP was Best Op to Best of Variety, then went on to take Best Op to Best In Specialty Show.

Expertly shown again by Sherry Whitt, his co-breeder. Dylan would really rather show for me, but unless my back gets fixed, I can't move well enough to give him any justice in the show ring.

Needless to say, I was floating pretty high myself!
Indy is the daughter of Dylan, Coal is the son of Indy and the Grandson of Dylan. Oreo and Pumkin are Dylan grandkids! I think it is running in the family!!

Oh I forgot to mention that when I first took Pumkin in the ring and took her around and put her on the table, as the judge walked up to her he said "Well, she ought to place in the class" I looked behind me to see how many were in the class with me and there was 3 others. Well they give first through fourth place in every class, if there are 4 or more in the class, so my heart kinda sunk a little as I knew she was immature, but I like to start them in the Bred-By class because I have seen Sherry win too many times with her babies who she said wouldn't win over more mature dogs in the ring and then she would screw up finishing her dog out of the Bred-By classes in which AKC gives you a medallion and you get an Invite to show your bred-by dog at the Eukanuba for 2 yrs in a row. Soooo I always enter them in Bred-By if I want to finish them there. The judge asked me how old she was and I told him 7.5 months and he said she was a bit young for this class. I didn't want to explain to him WHY I had entered her there, so I just let it go. I was SHOCKED when she won her class and even more shocked when she took the major!

Congrats Beckie! It was a fabulous day! I had fun! Too bad my little guy was soooooo excited after not seeing me for over a week, that he behaved poorly. ALL my fault, as I got there at the last moment, but I hadn't planned to show him, so I wasn't aiming for a certain time.

Anyway....you know how I feel about your dogs....always the best! And Dylan is one killer beautiful boy! That's where my boys get it from! :D
