Well, last year DH found the Yoda costume and he is really pushing for me to get it for Cricket. I'm sure he'd pee everywhere if I tried to put it on him. I can't believe Halloween is almost here!

I've got to work on KIDS costumes! Last year my son was a ghostbuster and I suggested that we dress Cricket up as Slimer (that big green glob thing). I might try it this year.

Oh man I was just thinking about that....
I WANTED to make my two into rolls of lifesaver candy. But I think maybe that will be too hard to make....
Laika has been a sock monkey (my favorite) a skunk, and a caterpillar (with Owen as a butterfly..his first halloweenie with me)...
I can't think of something cool and different...
I was thinking worms cuz I call them worms...I could make a segmented brown costume probably but what would I do with the head? If they were red smooths it would be easier (to make into a worm I mean)

Scooter is going to the DROH Halloweiner party as BABY HUEY since he's always way bigger than the other dogs! :rotfl: :rotfl: Cash is going to be a ROCKSTAR with his t shirt and sunglasses. I haven't decided which one. How about some help with a rocker with long black hair.

I can't decide!!! Probably the same as last year, because I don't feel like shelling out more money. They already have the following costumes:

-skunk
-hot dog
-angel (for rigby, ha!)
-superdog
-policeman
-Eleanor Rigby (pearls and a granny dress)

I think Rigby needs a pretty girly costume. I want to get them in a costume contest, but, i don't know. I can't think past the first day of school right now...

can I just say I LOVE me a sock monkey??

Am thinking Duchie is going to be Carmen Miranda. I have cut the sleeves out of a bright orange tshirt and am going to hem it up Duchie-size and attach some fabric from where I took up a particularly loud Gypsy skirt of mine.

T shirt sleeve = tube top with attached skirt, and am on the lookout for lightweight fruit for the hat. Toes will be painted of course.

I think we are going to do a skunk this year, Rigby's pic cracked me up (laika too!!) and I think it would be perfect, since she IS a little stinker specially around AG time!! peeeeeeeeyewww!! Last year she was a hotdog..... I also have a ladybug, but I think its too little now!

she is a very longsuffering gal. She will sigh and look at me with those eyes that say "for dog's sake mom...." but yeah, she will play along. :)
The hat may not be on long... hates a hat.

It is well worth the trip....and they're very reasonably priced too. I think they were all under $10 and good quality!!!!!!

Mine hate hats, too. It will be interesting to see how long Scooter wears the baby bonnet! I think that Cash will be Bon Jovi. Shelly (who runs DROH) is a big Bon Jovi fan. She'll probably get a kick out of that. :hula1: :hula1:

It sucks my local Claire's is really small and never has cute dog stuff. The one at the mall is much nicer, but I hardly ever get to the mall. :pout:

Thanks!! I DO have to say though... that everyone thought Ruckus was Robin Hood!! People would say.. "Oh LOOK! Robin Hood and Tinker Bell!" I was thinking ... :duh: !! Oh well.... so if anyone does use this idea, I think you would have to make the Peter Pat costume lighter or get smarter friends.

I found the PERFECT costume for Butters today. I will post pics tomorrow- I need an accessory to go with it to complete the look.

Now for Rigby...

Pippit will most likely be the great-white-man-eating shark again. But I did see some cute costumes at Old Navy the other day! Here he is in the shark costume:

With 9 to dress - guess I'll get my kicks from you guys! The best I ever saw was at Howl O Weenie 2 yrs ago! Couple took white fur, trimmed their mini's ankles with it then harnessed them to a Budweiser 12 pack box complete with wheels!! I cried I was laughing so hard! They of course won the peoples choice award!!! The other cute one was a guy dressed up as a referee - his baby was dressed up as a football!! complete with laces!! THey were great also!!
