Do any of you have any experience with it?

Or have heard of special foods dogs with this can eat? It has to be protein and gluten free as the dog's body rejects or cannot process protein at all...

Wow, no protein or gluten? That sounds difficult. Anyone?

No experience here. What does your vet recommend?

its not for my boys, btw - its for a Rottie. The dog is now on low fat cottage cheese and tofu. (but the cheese ended up having hidden glutens) I was just curious if there was something else out there.

I have heard of protein losing enteropathy, but that's about it. My Merck vet manual was not very helpful. I did Google it and got several hits but nothing extremely helpful :(

Can you find protein-free raw food? :)

Actually along those lines... is it just animal proteins the dog can't process... are plant proteins okay? I don't think you could survive without any protein at all.

haha, Kim, that's just my default answer. As Adam said last week, the only thing I haven't made better through raw feeding is the fact I hate my job...

Chris, find the yahoo group called K9 Nutrition and ask the question there. There are some real experts on the list. I will see if I can search the archives at onibasu.com and find anything.

From what I read briefly it looks like this may be able to be managed with a raw diet. So THERE! (totally kidding!!!!) :rotfl: :P
