Just wanted to post a short tribute to Scout LaRoote, my beloved piggy.
I wish his passing was as peaceful as I tried to make it, but nothing ever seemed to go easily with Scout, but I take comfort in knowing it was harder for us than him.
The term, "pig-headed" is certainly true. Scout had to do things his way always. He made dachshunds look compliant and easy-going :rotfl:
That said, he was the smartest animal I ever owned. Pigs are amazing creatures and I feel so lucky that I got to share my home with one for 15 years. There are so many memories that make me smile...I"m trying hard to just remember those.
I hope there are mulberry trees at the Bridge. And pumpkins. And somebody to scratch his belly.
I am thinking of making his whole fenced yard into a garden next spring. With veggies and stuff he loved....
RIP, my sweet piggy.

I am so sorry for your loss. I love the first picture of Scout smiling. i am sure that is what he is doing over the bridge where there are plenty of belly rubs and pumpkins.

I have not had the pleasure of getting to know a pig really well (we have never had one), but I definitely know enough about em to see how special Scout was.

I am so so sorry for your loss!

Me, too, Gymmie. You know he will have a ton of everything he loved, espeically pumpkins since it is October and they have better and bigger and more pumpkins than we do. He will be happy as his first picture where he is smiling and saying "I love you Mom".
