Rigby still has diarrhea. In our bed, on the living room rug, then in the kitchen where she was locked for the rest of the night.

Paul wanted to sleep on the kitchen floor with her. I told him we will not be that level of crazy dog people. She is a dog, she has a warm bed down there, she will live.

Well, she knocked the baby gate down and crawled up an hour or so later and I heard crying at the end of the bed. I asked paul (who did not get up for any of the night's diarrhea cleanup, mind you) to take her back down, but he snuck her in bed with him. Loser. Fortunately, she didn't go anymore.

I fed her some white rice this morning, so we're hoping it will help a bit. I'll keep an eye on her again tonight. Her behavior, mind you, is normal, except for the awful gas.

So, please send some rayz, because I can't wake up with my foot in diarrhea again.

Oh Tres, been there!! Sending tons of :bigrayz::bigrayz::bigrayz: for Miss R's tummy. Did the vet mention anything about colitis? (Not to scare you, just a thought...)

Awww poor baby. Hey watch it!! I'm one of those crazy dog people. I slept many nights on the floor with our :angel7: Dodger when he was having back problems (he hated the crate). :D

If the diarrhea continues you may have to pick up some meds from the vet to stop it. Sending lots of tummy :bigrayz: :bigrayz: :bigrayz: for Rigby.

:rotfl: I know, Patt- if she was seriously hurt or something, I would have let him stay with her, or I would have, but it was 4, we get up at 6:30 and I knew she'd be fine.

Riggers is still kinda out of it. She's playing and running around, but then she jumped up on my lap and I felt her shaking. No diarrhea yet tonight, knock on wood. I'm hoping the worst is over.

We're calling her Dia-Rigby. :rotfl:

Rigby is still no better this morning. She woke Paul up to get her out in time, but then she came right back in and had another accident in the bed. (Three nights in a row, now.) So we're calling the vet and hopefully taking her in today.

After she messed the bed, she put herself in the kitchen and stayed there, as if to say, "Yeah, I know this is what happens when I poop the bed." She stayed all night and was SO happy to see us in the morning!

Poor little girl!!! Sending a ton of feel better :bigrayz::bigrayz::bigrayz: to her (and to your bed!). Diarrhea can be a bit of a pain to get under control once it gets a firm hold. let us know what the vet say, OK, Tres?

Tracy.... How's Rigby?

Sorry I didn't respond sooner- we have no power, no internet, no phone, etc.

I took her to the vet and they said it was most likely just a bug. She had a diarrhea shot and is on an antibiotic and immodium for dogs. The vet said she looks healthy in every other way, so he's not too worried. If she still doesn't improve, he will run bloodwork and xrays, but he's hopeful.

So we don't really know what's going on with her, but at least she's on meds now. Thanks for the rayz. Both she and Mr. Butters are quite happy that we're living at Gramma's temporarily (until we get power and HEAT back in our house.)

Another update.

Last night, she was like a heroin addict with her meds. She was lethargic, shaking, walking funny.

At 6am, I awoke to the familiar, awful smell. And it was 100% solid and healthy!!! And, boy, was there a LOT, so i think she was constipated from the meds, hence the funny walking. Poor girl!

She is bright and lively again now, so I'm hoping it's over!!!
