Heidi is getting on in years, as are her teeth. I have done my best to take care of them, yet sadly the people who had her before did not. Therefore, her teeth are not in the best shape. She likes to chew and gnaw, but I worry because she will do so til she bleeds!! Can anyone give any suggestions on softer chewies for my ole gal? I haven't really been buying any chewies lately because once she gets ahold of one, its hard to get it away from her (Stubborn old broad :rotfl:).

maybe a rope bone? they have the ones treated with anti-plaque agents...

I was thinking of a flexible Nylabone, but if she is a hard chewer she would just destroy it.

Maybe a nice soft high-quality leather shoe?

I used to get the nylabones, and that is what she would chew til she bled...even the flexible ones!!

As far as the shoe very funny. Buddy's the only shoe chewer and *knock on wood* he hasn't done so for a while. You might want to look out for YOUR shoes...I just put a hex on you :rotfl:

LOL. We have never even tried leaving shoes on the floor around our house - we automatically put them on chairs or other high surfaces. I think we both just sensed that that would be too much temptation :D
