Rays for Gunner

My mom and dad think Gunner may have chewed on a battery this afternoon. So far everything looks good: he's eating, drinking and playing. They called the Animal Poison Control here (520-626-6016)and recieved good info. They are watching for the night. It doesn't appear that the battery was punctured fully. Thanks Michelle. Of course no emergency vet here in town for the night--directed me to Tucson which is 75 miles away:mad: So we called a few emergency vets in Tucson and they said to rinse his mouth out with water and give him milk to drink and we did. He is eating normaly seems to be himself. They said to watch if he is breathing heavy--he is not. This happened 2 hrs. ago.

Thanks everyone for the prayers and rays for Gunner. He is doing great, I called 2 emergency vet techs and animal poison controll and they all pretty much said the same thing--rinse mouth with water and give milk. We did the same with Petunia cause she was near Gunner so she might have also chewed on it. Needles to say I did not sleep then had to go to work at 5 AM. We were getting ready to download X-Mas pictures and one of the spare batteries fell out and Gunner got a hold of it. He pierced the batterie and oil was oozing out of it.
