I finally got a scanner, so I thought you guys might like to see some pictures of my little guy at the Rainbow Bridge! This is Tristan, our little pet store (oops) puppy. He was the most mellow, laid-back dachshund ever... never messed with anything that wasn't his... loved squeaker toys, burrowing, and everyone he ever met. He was only 10 when he went to the Bridge (he had some kind of rapid-growing tumor in his spleen that we didn't even know about until the day he died), but it was very quick and I think he was happy until the end. He wasn't as photogenic as the girls, maybe because he was all the same color (brown eyes, nose, lips and red fur) - he was one of those dachshunds who doesn't make black pigment - but he was cute! :muchlove:

I only have one tiny puppy pic, and it was a Polaroid and is a little fuzzy :sosad:. He was a little older in these two (maybe 6 months). DH and I both lived with our parents for a year after college, so Tris loved his Grandma and Grandpa.

2 favorite things - squeaker and sun.

The rest are at our house in Kansas City. PLEASE excuse the lovely couch - when money is tight, you take what what relatives have in their basements (we got a new one after a couple of years :D ).

Awww, Kim! Those are great pictures! Tristan was gorgeous, and every bit as photogenic as his sisters!

And I think my great-grandma had a couch like that once....the 70s were great for decorating.

What a stunning pupper:hearts: I can see why you'd want nothing but doxies with him as your starter. You're going to get the BEST welcome at the bridge, what a great doggie:hearts:

I actually like the coloring, quoting "he was all the same color (brown eyes, nose, lips and red fur)"

He was beautiful :)

Tristan is gorgeous, Kim! :hearts: :hearts: I lost my Pebbles to spleen problems and it was awful. She just collapsed one day and died two months later. We never knew she had a problem either until the day she collapsed. Thanks so much for sharing Tristan, the dachsie that started it all for the Halls. :angel7:
