Blue is Here!
Blue (also known as Beau) arrived yesterday. His foster mom was so sweet. She told me she really wanted to adopt him but didn't feel like she could afford to do it. He's getting acquainted with the house. He had a good night (me, not so much. I was up and down worrying about him and what he was doing), but it will be fine. Here are a few pics I got of the handsome boy.

It was a bit hard getting pics of him. He's kind of shy and was very confused yesterday. But, as you can see, he has made himself at home in Scooter's old crate.

His mom brought his favorite blankie so he'd feel more at home. She cried when she had to leave him. :(
As a bit of backstory, he was abused my small children and the woman who had him, mostly lived in a crate, was very aggressive (no shit!) when he first came to Vicki (his foster mom). Now, he's a very sweet boy. She had had him for a couple years and they were kind of bonded. He cried at the door after she left and kept looking out the windows for a while. But he seems to be coming around now. Food helped.

Oh my:love98:. I just can't imagine letting him go after having him for 2 years. And what he must be thinking. :sosad: But I'm glad that if he can't be with her, he's with you guys. What do the other two think of him? He's a handsome man, if worried. :sillylove::sillylove:

I am so happy he is HOME!! Two years will be a big adjustment, but they are so resilient. And with you and Jim looking after him, he will learn he hit the jackpot in no time flat.
Welcome home Blue! :love98: :sillylove: :love98::sillylove: :love98:
He is super handsome. Swoon.

He is precious and I am so glad that Vicki was able to recognize she couldn't afford him. I would imagine that is hard to admit...
I LOVE that you continue to live up to your LOTSADOX name, Patrice. I know you loved loved loved Scooter, and all who came before him, and I think it speaks volumes to your character and reputation as a dogmom that you open your heart and home to a new baby when you have a loss. That makes my eyes leaky.
Welcome home, Lucky. (All Schoppe dogs should be named Lucky...or Jackpot)

Update: I think the Jim has him a dog. Yesterday I stayed home from work to be with Blue. Jim came by when he went to lunch to check on us. Blue got sooo excited and jumped up on him for attention. When he left Blue stood at the gate on the bedroom door and whined :( I finally had to take him out a let him see the Jim was gone. Then last night, he spent the whole evening sitting next to Jim on the sofa and slept right next to him all night. I think it's :love98: Vickie did tell me that he liked men. Boy, was she right!

OMG, it's buster's twin by another mother LOL. That's EXACTLY how he is with men he knows. i'm totally chopped liver if there's a man in the room LOL. I'm glad Jim has a dog :sillylove::sillylove:

When we got the girls, I wondered if they might bond to K more than me, since he worked at home when he was in town. HAHAHAHA. They figured out who fed them (again, knew which side their bread was buttered on).
When we first met them as puppies, though, shy little Angel went right to K. She was always fascinated by her Daddy. I'm glad Jim is getting some dog love.

Patrice, how is the little guy doing with Cash and Darby?

Darby and Blue are doing fine. There's some occasional growling over a bone or toy but they're doing well. Cash is a grumpy old man, but Blue's foster mom had a grumpy old dog so Blue seems to deal with it pretty well.
