Oh Laura... I can just imagine how cheated you must feel and how unfair this is :sosad: I wish I had the words to bring comfort, but I know all to well that there are none. I send my love to both...

Straining to poop and constipation can also be one of the first signs for IVDD.
Froggie was diagnosed with constipation...

When I think of table goodies, I am reminded of Mitzi, who died from too many table goodies :sosad:
But they did get the raw neck, heart, liver and kidneys...mixed...
Well her ears were fine, no infections.
They did ultra sound and 3 xrays looking a tumor or something that could be causing it and saw nothing.
She has had nothing that would have caused trama......
This was so much fun...

When Jen woke up I noticed her eye was very small and looked sunken in a little also her...
What does the vet say? When was the last time she had a full blood panel and geriatric physical?

I'm sorry but I really don't understand WHY he is at the shelter..... I would get him to your personal vet and get blood work done today!

Hooch is on his second week of crate rest and his new family found a new Dr that would work w/ them Pred and crate rest (the first Dr wanted him off of Pred and thought the crate rest would bring no...
Do they have results from blood work to rule out anything serious? What tests are they running?

OK I had to do it ....the only doxie w/ long enough longs to wear them..... and they were only 4 bucks! ....and she hates them.
It took about 20 mins to finally get her to walk in them :LOL:
