    Smile Zoie Walking !!!!

She still does not seem to like me at all. Every time I get near her she tenses up growls and throws a tantrum. She is so bad I actually have to put a blanket over her head to pick her up. Today, I went and got her out of the playpen and set her down by the water dish, turned around to get some turkey to put her pills in. The little ...... got up and walked away. Probably 8-10 steps then sat down and turned her head up in the air away from me. This 6 days after surgery.

I pretended not to notice or show too much excitement. But ...... I was extremely happy. :boogie: :boogie: :boogie:

Go, Zoie! I love the sitting down and turning her head away. That's what Sweetums does when I get after her. She looks away like "She must be talking to someone else".

maybe she associates you with pain?
Am sure she will grow to love you as we do soon... specially if you keep feeding her turkey.

glad she is under her own steam at any rate- that is the object of the game, right? You are so wonderful...she better count her lucky stars she is at your house, cause you are an :angel7: of the highest order.

:wow: up, walking and stubborn already! I'm sure she's still not sure where she is, who you are, and since she associates you with the initial shock and pain, it may be awhile before she warms up to you--but that turkey should help!!

I'm sure she will warm right up to you as soon as she is not uncomfortable from the surgery!
