    Default Need a good read?

I found this book at Half Price Books a few days ago and I love it! It isn't a training book, or a dog behavior book, its just a book about the love between dogs and people...the bond that we all obviously have for our dogs being on this board. I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone!

The link below is for Amazon, and they have copies for less than a dollar!

Looks like a good book and has gotten nice reviews (except for the first one). Thanks for the info and link.
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

Hey Mama! You should forward the book I sent ya with it! I'm working on another one that I'm planning on sending ya~ When's the last time you read a "Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul"? I read them when they first came out and now I've got the one published in 2005 so if you're interested, it's all yours, after I'm done of course. You don't mind tear stained pages, do ya? That book just pushes my cry buttons so EASILY!

Also have Sonia Fitzpatrick's book, which was OK, but not the greatest. Also have another book on Animal Communication if anyone is interested....

Also, I just ordered Knapp's book from Amazon and her "Drinking" book and that "Culture Clash" book I've heard so much about. The exerpt they had for "Pack of Two" brought tears to my eyes. Then, I was also horrified to read that Knapp died in 2002 from lung cancer. I thought "What about poor Lucille!?!" But good news... she was married before she died and I'm sure her hubby is taking good care of Lucille.

It's "Communicating With Animals" The Spiritual Connection Between People and Animals by Arthur Myers.

I liked it, but I'm already sold on the fact that my animals have souls and can communicate, we just need to learn how to listen.
