I've taken them each out seperately, just me and them, but the other was always left home with Dan. I guess my predicament comes in that, in order for me to take this class, I have to take it on Saturday. So, now that it's the summer, Dan's always golfing, so there is no way to know if he'll be home or not. I feel bad about taking one and leaving the other.

The only time I have taken one of them out and left the other home alone, was when Bailey hurt his back in April and I took him to the vet. I left Reese home for an hour.

Maybe you can have a special something for the one at home - a stuffed frozen Kong or a flossie or bully stick? So they get a nice treat to occupy them?

Sometimes when it's walk time, Lexie plays a game and wants me to "catch" her to harness her up to go with Jack and me. Sometimes I don't feel like playing her game, and Jack and I walk without her. Do I feel guilty? Yes. If Lexie's outside, she runs next to the fence like crazy, trying to catch up with us. And I also know each dog needs their own time with me, and occasionally take one at a time. It's hard when they both are used to going together. But they survive. It's harder on me than them.

Heidi and Princess are very bonded and on the very rare ocassion that Rachel takes only one of them on a short 10 minute walk, the other one is spastic, running around the house looking out all the windows and standing by all the doors just crying, it is pitiful,, and during this time the other one is gone, they will not touch a treat, no matter what the treat it,, they just turn their nose up and refuse to eat it, even a real cookie!!
