What I do is clean up the mess, put NM on it - soak it good too. Then I get a clean rag put it right on top of all the NM I poured onto it then set something hevay on it and let it dry. Works pretty good.

Shonda's way sounds good to me. I know Tanya is against this, but vinegar might work if it's tile. If you still smell pee, there might be another spot to seek out.

I've used vinegar on cat pee and it works great but it does take a couple of days. Nothing else I had tried worked to get that stinky cat pee smell out. ick

One word...Febreeze. Alex peed all over the couch last fall (hours before my house warming party...:mad and I sponged it down with water, dried it up as much as I could, put the cushions in the sun to dry, then febreezed the heck out of it, and it was impossible to tell she'd ever been up on the couch let alone peed on it!

We use the pet smell stain solution stuff and a mini bissell shampooer to clean up messes. Only TWO pee mistakes in the new house so far! :cheer2:
