Andrea, I said it before and I will say it again...truly, you are a hero. Only two people in my family and no one in my husband's family truly understands my love for animals and that they aren't just "an animal." YOU are the very definition of an animal savior. I will continue to say my  and send many, many for Dusty. I don't believe in any saints (sorry) other than good ol' St. Francis (or as I call him, St. Frannie) and I will continue to rub my St. Frannie medal for you and Dusty.

I am late replying to this post, but it doesn't mean I am not thinking of you, of Dusty and praying that he will make it and that you both will be healed from this difficult experience.

    Sending lots of love!

I called the vet at about the time you were asking for an update, and he's "holding his own" so that's good. The vet was in surgery (but still managed to holler that I could come to see him without causing any harm) so I didn't get a detailed status, but the transfusion was finished this morning, and the tech working with him said she could see an improvement in his eyes, and I think I know what she means. He looked so scared yesterday when I saw him, but still managed a wag for me, but his eyes told me a different story that it wasn't easy for him. Even before the tech said "holding his own", I knew that's what I was going to hear, and that ain't bad. Next on the list is "turning a corner for the better" and then "starting to head out of the woods" and then "coming home" It's all I could ask for.

Pearl did well too, but was pretty cranky at bedtime towards the rest of the anipals. It was a little funny. I'm going to make it up to her today and give her some special treats.

Thank you all for the continued rays, prayers, candles and cookie promises. It makes all the difference.
