    Default Scooter's Vet Visit

Scooter went in for his yearly vet visit this morning. The DH's has been taking him in the truck to the park for walks so when I got the martingale collar and leash he was all excited and thought he was going for a walk. All the way to the vet he kept looking at me like "Mom, this isn't the way to the park!" Once we got there he was very nervous, but did really well. He even walked right onto the table when the vet lowered it down. :angel7: He just layed really still when they took his blood. Such a good boy! He's now 40lbs! Yup, the world's biggest dachshund!

The vet said he looked very healthy and wasn't expecting to see anything unusual in the blood work. WTG, Scooter! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

    What a great vet visit.

And, maybe Scooterman is the second biggest doxie? I thought Darwin was the biggest one

:banana20: so glad Scooter is doing so well!! But wow, 40lbs is a lot to lift up onto the table!!

BTW, Tasha does the same thing at the groomer when we go for nails and anals. We do the nice mile long walk thru parks to get then and then all of the sudden--the room of doom. The look we get....priceless.

Thank doG, my vet has a table that you can lower down almost to the floor and then raise up again! :relieved:

I'm glad to hear he's a healthy boy.
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

Could be! Does Darwin actually have any doxie in him or is he a wannabe?
