don't let the rudeness of one underpaid (or maybe volunteer) idiot keep you from helping the furkids.
You did a good thing! ( I do LOVE a no-kill shelter)

You know, you could send a card there, just a blank animal one and tell the staff what happened.
" On (whateverday) I dropped off what I thought was much needed supplies at your shelter. I did it for the animals there, and to help fill a need. As I was brushed off with a "just throw it in the corner" attitude, in the future, my donations will go to an orginazation that can be bothered to look me in the eye and smile, and acknowledge my existence. My only regret is that the animals in your shelter suffer for the lack of customer service at the front desk. We all have 'bad days', but all it would have taken was a thank you for me to not feel like a fool for having cared enough to try to make a small difference in the lives of the animals there"
Andrea that is very well said.

You did a wonderful thing, and deserve a thank you. So ClaudineTHANK YOU!!!! Don't blame you for being upset. They should be thrilled that someone gave a hoot enough to buy things to help them out. I imagine whoever the Biatch is, that she is exactly that, and not a very nice person anyway. You're an:angel7: !

Andrea, that really is a good idea, however, some part of me feels i'm just being petty & not ONE item I donated was for that "B with an itch". It was for the animals & I did what I set out to do & I won't let her "poor upbringin'" take away the satisfaction of knowing I helped some animals who really needed it. I'm over it now!!!
She was a jerk, pure and simple. Next time you get ready to take over a donation, call first, and say.....I have a donation for you, but last time I apparently came at a time that was a great inconvenience to the person on duty. Is this a good time?
I'm willing to bet you will get a much better reception this time.
When I had Mindy chipped, I gave them a $25 donation, and believe me, it wasn't just shrugged off. All shelters need donations. She was a jerk.
That was very kind of you. She better watch out or something will bite her on the butt for being such a poop head!
