    Default Taffy's vet visit

Taffy had her vet visit today for her annual shots....she was soooo not thrilled, lol. But she is a real trooper, and took it like a dox.

The vet said that she is THE PERFECT MODEL OF WHAT A DACHSHUND SHOULD LOOK LIKE. Well, how about that, boys and girls. Her figure is perfect. He mentioned that some people would think she is skinny, but that she is absolutely perfect. I told him I agreed, and that her sisters are in the same shape, and they will stay that way. If I think they need more exercise, I run them up and down thru the house myself.

The bill for shots, heartworm test, fecal, and nail trim was $140. Maybe I could get modeling work to pay for her own bills

    That's great news!

My foster boy gets the same comments when he goes to the vet. He's a small standard though. He weighed 21 pounds when I got him and even though he was over weight my vet kept saying he was the prefect dachshund and what a dachshund should look like. Now that he's down to 18.7 pounds he's even better!!

Good to hear she's in GREAT shape!! :cheer2: She is a very pretty girl. :hearts:
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

I took Mindy over today to get her nails trimmed and to get her info into their computers. She was good, but not too sure about getting out of the carrier. Unlike the other two, she does not run into the carrier, but should figure it out soon.

The tech who trimmed her nails remarked about her little heart shaped id tag. All three have the same tags with their name, our cell phone numbers, city, state, and on the reverse says they are chipped, and then instructs anyone who finds them to look for their sisters by name. I pulled out my key chain and showed her my matching tag. It tells people that if I am in an accident to look for my girls, and gives all the same info.

Now, if they could just chip me.
