    Default Isabel is in pain.

I just called the vet and he will see her at 2:30 unless he can fit her in sooner. They are going to call me back.

She is crying and yelping and biting her back.

On Thursday night she was racing through the house and ran into the door with her nose. She was stunned at the time, but seemed OK after she came out of it. Saturday night, she seemed a bit uncomfortable, but I wasn't sure she was in pain. Yesterday she was fine and played and chewed her bullystick. This morning things are not good.

This past June her back went out and she was on 6 weeks crate rest and she gets VOM treatments. I am really worried.

    Yes! I crated her instantly.

Do you think I should give her a quarter of a Bufferin?

NO!! Sending lots of back for Isabel. Be sure to give us an update when you can.
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

    We are back!

I did not give Isabel a Bufferin.

The vet adjusted Isabel's back and checked her thoroughly. He said the pain is the result of the accident. It is all muscular. Her vertebrae are fine and there is no new disc problems. However, the muscle spasms can cause disc problems. He put her on 5 days crate rest.

He gave her Etodoiac for pain and we are only to use it today and tomorrow. He will see her again on Friday and do another adjustment and spine check.
