I'd noticed weird teeny tiny brownish red flakes on the bathroom rug yesterday and I caught one of the girls (and I am kicking myself because I can't remember who it was, I just totally lost the memory. I blame the concussion from Alec) peeing on it and I think it's blood in the urine. It's not bright red like it was when Grrrrt had one a while back, but enough to make me scrape what's left in my accounts and make an appointment for Michele tomorrow. I think it was her because my comment was "I just took you outside and all you wanted to do was dig and now you pee on the rug?" and was so stunned by her cuteness I thought "Maybe that was Cassie" so now I need to watch closely. Payday is Friday and I can afford one vet visit tomorrow, but probably not 2. I'll just call and tell them to make it for both tomorrow anyway if I can't catch the culprit again.

They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. Your vet is definitely made of AWESOME!!! So hopefully you'll get a bit of a break...maybe they'll let you run a tab?? (Mine does, which is a good thing cuz otherwise I couldn't manage!) It's not like they don't know where to find you
