Amy those pictures are just beautiful. I love your land. When we got to Northern Az it looks like that. You need to post pictures more often-even your house is so pretty.
The picture of just the pine trees, would make a pretty holiday card--you could sit the doxie by the tree.
Don't you guys get fires? Here I would be afraid to live so close to the trees, we get a lot of wild fires. A couple of years ago there was a big fire up in Greer Az (northern az) it wiped out a lot of log cabins, because the trees were so close to the cabins etc.

Fires really just don't happen here that often. Our house is up pretty high, but it's very wet all around us. Most of our property is surrounded by the river and a lot of the woods is underwater all spring..Originally Posted by LUVMYGUNNER
I guess there was a very big fire here in the 1800's. 2 of them, I think.
But our log cabin is actually made of cement I swear it is true.. With fake bark and fake knotholes and everything. Permalog, it is called.

I imagine the log cabins up in N Az are probably made of the same thing. They all have medal roofs-we go up there in the summer sometimes because it is so hot here. I just love seeing pictures of your house and land--THANKS

You are one lucky lady to live in that beautiful country. A little heaven on earth....
We would love to have all that acreage. Thanks for sharing your pics they are awesome.
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

My dream is to have a dachshund weekend here...you all could come and camp (my house is too darn small) and the dogs could swim in the pond and run and hunt (we do have a fenced yard too) and do weener activities and we'd have a big barbecue and campfire at night....Originally Posted by Patt
