Miss Salsalita was SOOO amazingly awesome this past weekend at agility!!
We camped out from Thursday night-Sunday in the little trailer....it was fun, although I had to beg a shower from someone who was staying at a motel!!! And the fireworks display about 1/4 mile away was a little scary LOL. SHOOK the trailer!
Salsa ran 5 runs Friday and 5 on Saturday. Qualified in every single one of them. And, aside from having to restart the weaves twice on Friday and a near off course (causing me to yell BUGBUGBUGBUGBUG until she turned just in time...much hilarity about that) they were really flawless runs. Absolutely perfect. I finally have a dog that I can do rear crosses with which is SOOO much easier on my knee than front crosses (cuz with those the handler had to pivot 360) Did the A-frame, did the teeter (numerous times) and just ran pretty much as fast as she could through the whole courses, making her little panting noises like a teeny freight train as she ran..
Then, since Owen missed his Colors run that he needed for his c-atch2, we stayed ONE MORE night and I entered Salsa in 2 more runs which were PERFECT 1st place Q's. So 12 runs, 12 Q's. Actually 13 runs cuz the timer didn't work for one Jumpers run and they said did I want to do it again for time and I said sure I think she ran it even faster the 2nd time.
Laika did great also. 2 runs each day and they were lovely. She is so much fun to run when she is being good...Sunday I entered her in one more cuz Pat wanted to run her, but then didn't feel well enough to do so. She was EVIL. Barked at ring crew and even barked at ME and did whatever obstacle she wanted. It was quite cute. That's my girl. She stole food, demanded belly rubs from complete strangers, threw such a fit in the crate in the car she got to go ride with Aunty Pat where she stole treats from her van.
Today, I feel 50 years old Still gotta unload most of the truck and clean out the trailer but when I get the ribbons out I will take some pics
