I wasn't going to do any more agility outside until Sept cuz my dogs don't like the heat but my friend Julie asked me to run her sheltie, Quinn, today cuz she had to work. I love Quinn...he's a beautiful blue merle sheltie, on the large side for a sheltie and very fast and he loves me SO I entered Laika and Salsa in a couple of runs and went out there to run Quinn. Who was AWESOME!!!! We qualified and got a first in Fullhouse. I also ran my friend's doxie, Beamer, who wouldn't run with me :( Laika ran with his mommy and ran very nicely but then ran out of the ring to see me, I think cuz I was holding Beamer before our run and she was worried he would get a treat or something... AND I ran another friend's dog, Macy cuz she's been a little unmotivated and her mom, Becky, thought she would get geeked if I ran her. Macy also qualifed with a first!
The I ran Quinn in Standard, Colors, and Jackpot. We had an off course in Standard so did not qualify (we weren't quite understanding each others body language so I "over-steered" him ) but we got a 4th in Colors and another FIRST on a really difficult jackpot course
Salsa also got another Standard run (1st place) so she only needs 9 runs for her championship!
It was really fun running Quinn and Macy
Laika ran her stubby lil legs off in jackpot but missed by one point which I think was a mistake but I ran three dogs and couldn't remember exactly what I did with her. O well. She was really really good though, esp. for a hot day.
