The comforter has been cleaned, as well as the floors and all is well in at the Anipal Palace.

Hope all the upset tummies have passed.....

I had always been led to believe that by-products should be by-passed..... How can you know when they are included in foods (such as Bil Jac, 2nd ingredient) that they are ok, and how do you know if they really are icky ingredients?

When they are in a commercial food, I'd say you are right to avoid them. From dogaware.com:

By-products may be OK if the company specifies that they are human-grade organs such as liver and kidney, but otherwise they usually signify parts not considered fit for human consumption.
So, that's just the point I was making. I feed what are considered by products (organs, etc) in a raw diet, but you really don't want generic "by-products" in your dog food.

Just want to chime in with any continued "happy tummy" that may be needed in the Anipal clan!
