Smile I came across this site when I was...

researching Joy's food. I think there is obviously some truth to the fact that dogs will live longer with proper nutrition (as will humans!), however, 27 may be pushing it a bit. A man I used to work with had a dog that lived to 20, and I thought that was old. I had a dog that lived to 16 and one to 17, but 27...don't know about that????

I feed Eagle Pack to my dog and kitties. I really love this food for them and I will be switching my pet rats over to this, as well (as a staple).

To me, personally, the pet food in the link doesn't sound all that special as far as ingrediants go. By reading the page, it kind of gives the message that you if you feed HER food, then your dog will live to be 27-30 years old.

Yes, nutrition plays a major role, but so does genetics.
