The Weens and Salsa and I went to the detroit area dachshund meet-up party today Rob went too...actually cuz we haven't seen each other for a week and the meet-up was really near his apartment.
It was fun. There were prob. 30 dogs there at least. All shapes and sizes...
I found out last night Santa was going to be there so I was all excited that Salsa could wear her red christmas dress from Claudine for the pictures. Then realized I needed something good for Owen so I modified his black satin vest, adding a front vest-like part with sparkles and red bowtie.
Laika doesn't like to dress up...
Laika seemed nervous most of the time and wanted to be in Rob's lap, then down, then in his lap, then down. I think she still knows she isn't 100% up to par and it makes her nervous to be in a crowd. Or else we were nervous about her and she caught it...
Salsa was so cute prancing around then a large doxie got a little pushy with her and she was sad for quite a long time. People loved her in her party dress though...she was adorable. And when people started eating she cheered up.
Owen...Owen is a social butterfly. Everytime I looked for him, there he was, trotting around in his bow tie like the mayor of Weenerville. Such a funny boy. He's quite popular. He stole some food though. But the Mayor needs to keep his strength up I guess. He and Salsa did tricks for everyone too. They liked the waving.
Most pics are just dumb blurry bad pictures of masses of moving dachsunds but I got this one that I thought was cute (dog is named Lucy-a very sweet little girl)

Looks like a fun time! I love all the photos Salsa-Bug is adorable as always and Owen and the Peen are just magnificent and Laika is always beautiful, adornments or not. So glad you and Rob got to spend some time together with the kids
