I'm passing on this article. I hope the facts are correct but from now on I will check the labels more carefully.

Very interesting, especially in light of the newly released WHO study on how bad added sugar in our food is being on population health...makes one wonder if this is partly why we're seeing so many health issues in our furkids too. I only ever feed Meditreats that I get at Laura's...they're just dried apple. but I'll have to take another look at the ingredient list! Thanks for this post!
Paula & Buster
& my s Maxe, Alex, Wendal, Jules & James, Patti, Ferkel and Heidi,
"The greatest of all mistakes is to do nothing because you can only do a little. Do what you can."
For a while now, I've only fed the treats from Bones2Go where I buy my raw food and bones. They have the good ones with no sugar or preservatives or other cr*p they don't need.
We dehydrate strips of raw meat, using a machine in bsmt. No additives. A beef shoulder hunk ($2.50/lb) makes lots. So furkids enjoy lots. The China thing has scared us away from store bought treats.
