Piper has a new best friend who is her size! We've been trying for months to get these two together, and today's beautiful 75 degree weather was perfect. Both dogs had been cooped up inside all week through cold, rain, and ice and were itching to get outside!
Meet Brownie. We're not really sure what he is, but I definitely see some Staffordshire Terrier in him.
They ran.
They played what my lab board has dubbed "bitey face."
They tugged.
And tugged.
And tugged some more.
Overall, they had a blast!! Here are a couple of videos for your entertainment.

They got along so well that we are going to have a regular playdate. That, my friends, is awesome. She is currently sleeping belly up with her toungue hanging out of her mouth - and has been since 5. Love it.

Brownie is a handsome fellow. I'm glad you found a playmate for Piper. What a fun play day for the two of them.
Great pics and good job on the vids.
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

I love, love, love that second picture. It looks like they are playing "mirror image" but also Piper's tongue sticking out like that - that says it all to me. It looks like they had a total blast and are well on their way to being BFF's
Do you think Brownie has some pointer or something in him with the speckling, along with some Staffie? Dunno.
