Default Meetup in Fredericksburg VA - Yolanda (very pic heavy)

What a NICE day! The weather was perfect, the food was great, the town (and fudge shop) were interesting, and the company was AWESOME! Yolanda is a very interesting, fun person and I am so glad I got this opportunity to visit with her and her family.

Here are pictures of the day. I cannot remember all the dogs names so hopefully Yo can fill them in.

Her home out in the country. It was so lovely there. I was tempted to move in.

The anti-dachshund (Birkie my beagle/rottie mix or my 30 pound lap dog)

She had a serious attitude. I didn't get too close to her ... neither did Rikka. (Miss attitude is April).

Elsa the beautiful. She is the queen there, but was kind enough to give me lovin. :hearts:

Me and the Gooseman. He is so tiny, but does love to snuggle.

Isn't she just beautiful? I think she is going to a family in Canada on their way home from Florida. Did I get that right, Yo? This is Kaulen and yes she is going to be a Snow Bird. Her new Mommy is headed North on the 23/23 and will be picking her up on the 23rd.

Young pup going to a new home this week? Wylie, a "yorkie" left today for an all breed rescue that has a place for him. He is under a year old and came from a shelter as a stray.

Noel (she iwent to a new home today, as well)

This is my "middle child" Phoenix

The grand old lady (Addie is 13 and she is Kaulens Mother)

Mr. Wetley. What a scamp! He was so much fun to watch.

Yo and Tres (the three legged dog who doesn't know she only has three legs)

What a cute squat! My Phoenix from the rear.

Handsome boy. He was so gentle and loving, I was tempted to take him home with me!

What a little lover. Amos a new DRNA foster going home hopefully on Tuesday.

    The dogs bonding.

Noel has a mouth on her! b (My Trey and Noel who went to her new home today)

Part of the fence patrol. At one point I think there were at least 10 doggies at the fence harassing anything that moved beyond.

Can you find the real dog among the antique dogs? He was being very bad. (That is my Phoenix)

Talk about bad dogs. This boxer tore her way through the blinds. (This is Lexis and she belongs to one of my Marine I am dog sitting for).

Awesome pics! Looks like you had a great visit. Thanks for sharing.
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon
