It's not looking good. The senior rescue who returned my email about her is turning out to be not very organized and we are sending nonproductive emails back and forth.

If my check had come this week I would have gone to get her. Just can't do it this week and her last day is Saturday.

The posting has produced no results. Maybe not surprising with the number of dogs people are trying to save, just heartbreaking.

    Not looking good.

Lots of adoption rayz for this sweet guy. Would they hold him for you? Any GSD groups interested. I really hope he gets rescued. Thanks for trying to help him

Is this GSD close to you, are you thinking of adopting her?
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

She is down at the other end of the state. About 740 miles round trip.

One of the people from the rescue went to the Baldwin Park website and said they could not find her there. My information came from the Dogs in Danger site. Do not know why she would be posted on one and not the other.

I emailed them back and asked if they could call the SHELTER and find out if she was still there. The reason I though they might be able to help is that they are in Southern California, where the shelter is.

I doubt they would hold her over. I am not associated with a formal rescue.

Not quite sure what to do. Haven't completely given up, but I am limited right now in what I can do.

    She deserves the effort!

I'm learning a lot from this. Try to do a rescue closer to home in case you need to go do it yourself. There are so many people on this board with big hearts for the seniors.

    DLC rocks!!!

How about e-mailing the shelter? This way you would know exactly where she is. Be sure you tell them you are trying to save her and maybe they will extend her PTS date.

Good idea. I just got two emails from the senior rescue group people- she said if I could call tomorrow and find out where she is, she would network like crazy. That would help- I am lacking in contacts! (more ways than one )

GOOD News. I called the shelter and:

    1) She is still alive

    2) Her euth date is not until Oct. 29, not the 25

Please keep the rays and good thoughts coming. I know they are working!
