Default Sugar's Christmas Wish - Filled

Sugar was adopted this afternoon by a very wonderful lady who had her 14 yr old dachshund go to the bridge a couple of months ago. Sugar and new mom bonded immediately and Sugar made herself at home on the couch under the blankie and ignored me until it was time for me to go, then I got a couple of kisses, but she laid her head back down and did not make a fuss. I am the one who ended up crying. But tears of happiness as Sugar is in her furever home with a lady that fell deep in love with her.
I did not fail fostering this time. It is hard letting them go, but a good feeling that she has a home of her own for Christmas.

So Sugar just arrived there and said, thanks foster mom, I'm home now. Sounds like she had it all figured out - thank you for being strong enough to let her go.

After the home visit and meet each other, Sugar came home with us, but she was used to visiting with people (I had been taking her to visit so she would socialize) so I think she just thought it was a normal visit and get loved by someone new. But good golly, when we went back and I sat her box of stuff (blankies, toys, food dishes and a few other thing down in the new house, she went right to the couch and there she planted herself and that was it. She was home and bye, bye to foster mom. I think she realized that she could stay with her new mom when her things were there with her. It was just the way she acted like she owned the couch.
