Default NDR Curiosity is gonna kill me

I think I am going to have to go across the street and talk to my neighbors. The woman who lives next to where Stel, the pitbull determined to attack me and kill the girls (stupid owner say, He probably wouldn't hurt you, he JUST wants to kill the animals)...came to our door yesterday evening. Because Molly wants out the front door, I held onto her, and dh answered the door. I should have, because he didn't ask any reasonable questions.

She had a petition she wanted us to sign to get rid of the two pitbulls that live up at the very end of the street, which is really the beginning of the next street over. I seldom see these dogs outside at all, and it was pointed out to me by dh that they have two huge "crates" (look like cages) outside. Now, this house is NOT behind these people. I have never ever seen the dogs loose on the street, or even being walked on the street. And I know the people did raise them from pups, because trust me, I kept an eye out for them after my experiences.

The neighbors in question LIVED NEXT DOOR TO A DANGEROUS PITBULL, and they did not try to get rid of him. I admit I did, but then, I was getting a little tired of being terrorized by him and his idiot owners who thought that him attacking us was funny. And I never could, in spite of him being declared dangerous. Thank heavens, they all moved far away.

So......I have to really wonder, why are these people trying to get rid of these two pitbulls? They are gone about half the time, traveling around the country. I have never seen an animal with them. I have not seen or heard of any problems in the area with these dogs. You would THINK DH WOULD HAVE ASKED?????

And no, we did not sign the petition. I have no reason to. Personally, I think it is useless, and we also feel that if they decide they don't like our dogs barking, then they might want to circulate a petition to get rid of them. Hey,.....do you think I could get them to circulate a petition to get rid of some of the other neighbors the pets can stay.

Gonna make me nuts, not knowing why.

Before you die of curiosity, go across the street and ask them why. Now I want to know also, and I also may die of curiosity...

They may have had a single episode you never heard of. Some people are like the man that owns Treasure Island, they don't ask questions, just fire away because they can.

Oh, it got even better, or worse. I should smack the dh. He explained that it was THE OWNER of the dogs at the door, telling him that the other people had circulated this petition (again, first time we heard anything) and wanting us to know that she loved her dogs and took care of them. Hmmmmm, the plot, and my curiosity, thickens.

Next time the darn bell rings, I have to just pick Molly up, tell the rest "crates!", and open the door myself. I will ask questions, lol.

    I am sooooooo curious.

Okay lady, now you've got me curious. It's time for you to find out, and give us an update.
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

The people (the rich people, lol) have always been very nice to everyone. They literally built thier house themselves, from the ground up. THey have a boat, rv, truck, etc....all of which are kept spotless. They were even a good influence on that idiot across the street, who lived right next to them. So I am hard pressed to even imagine why they would put out a petition. It just doesn't sound right.

I do not want to give the other person, who actually lives on the block over...it just happens to be the house on the corner, the impression I have any interest in being friends. I am keeping an eye open now on what goes on in the front of my house.

If there is a pb argument going on, I am sure it will get around the neighborhood more. The problem with the darned Mosquovy ducks was fixed once I passed on the info that they are NOT protected under the law, as long as you aren't cruel, you may kill them. And offered recipes, lol. That neighbor cleaned up her act.

My very own little soap opera is going to play out here. Stay tuned.
