    Default I dunno..

I had some lady stop me today while I was walking Mika and Theo..She was saying how cute they are then asked if they were 100% doxie and I was like yup they are..and then she said well that can't be cause Mika has a big white spot on her chest. I was like hummm...I have no clue what Mika's parents look like but just cause she has a spot on her chest doesn't mean she isn't 100% doxie...does it?

That lady was clueless. From the AKC breed standards for smooth coat dachshunds

A small amount of white on the chest is acceptable but not desirable. Nose and nails-in the case of black dogs, black; for chocolate and all other colors, dark brown, but self-colored is acceptable
    .

So while they may not be top show quality, they are still 100% dachshunds. That woman is a :loser:

Totally what Patrice said. Pixel is 1/2 white and 100% dachshund

    The lady is clueless.

Besides with dachshunds, it doesn't much matter if they're 100% dachshund, because they're 1000% cute :hearts::hearts:

This photo shows four, count em, four purebred dachshunds. Look at the white on two of them. That lady doesn't know beans about weiners.

    Here's a tutorial:

Dogs that were purportedly dachshunds at some time in their lives, but upon further inspection were most certainly not even remotely dachshunds...not even a little bit.

Dogs that are most certainly dachshund but have been accused of being a Doberman Pincher:

Dogs that are undoubtedly dachshunds as they are clearly up to no good:

The lady is an idiot. Cassie is a mixed pattern, so she has lots of white spots in places she's not supposed to, but she is still 100% dachshund (just not a well-bred one).

Angel had a tiny spot of white on her chest like Mika's when she was little, but it went away.

I like walking my dogs, but hate talking to idiots like that

To say nothing of the fact that it's totally rude. Would she asked someone with children that appeared to be of mixed race if they were 100% whatever? I doubt it.
