    Default Sick Sick Doxy Zoo

All three of my dogs have spent the afternoon barfing up their breakfast mixed with grass. Half digested. Gross. I am trying to get them to drink water and just rest. Don't think there will be supper this evening.

    Hope they get well soon.

Mine LOVE spring grass. Munch, munch, munch. PUKE ((sigh)). I know there is a big debate whether dogs eat grass because they have tummy upset or if they like the taste and it causes tummy upset. In my experience it is the latter. Especially fresh spring grass shoots (although Pretzel loves grass all year long). I hope they are feeling better today.

p.s. I do find liver water really gets them to drink a lot and flushes their system. Just boil some beef liver for 5 mintues, pull out the liver and let the water cool, it will keep them super hydrated.

Sorry to hear they are all making a barfest. Hope it is not on the furniture or rugs. Sending that is was just simple over indulgence.

Mine love grass, and will even dig up tender roots and pig out. I have learned to let them enjoy a little,....but the demons insist on eating sand. That foolishness has to stop. Doxies....why do they have to eat EVERYTHING???

Lots of for all the bebes. I remember years ago my Vet told me that the spring grass very especially sweet and that is way dogs love to much on the new growth. Let them lick on ice cubes instead of water while they are actively vomiting. Hope they feel better soon.

Sheesh... that's no fun! I hope they are feeling much better today, and so are you... barkfests are not my favorite type.

Tons of tummy coming at ya! Kind of like that scene in Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood where all three kids are barfing and having diarrhea at the same time .

Well, all three made it through the night and so far today without any barfing and they seem to be just fine now. My best guess is they got into something minor outside that they shouldn't have and I got to scrub it outta the rug all afternoon.

I got smart and pulled all the rugs out of the kitchen/sun room where we hang out and dam*ed if Rikka didn't find that one 10" stretch of carpet to repeatedly go back and vomit on!!!

WHY CAN'T THEY PUKE ON LINOLEUM?
