Thanks for the 'try'...
Google IS my friend - I'm the 'Google-meister' at work.
The first link takes me to NBC TV link (when I try to get to the Ohio rescue site that's listed) :duh:
The second link gives me the address on a map of the rescue's location in Lebanon Oh ... but if I click on the link that's listed with to try to get to their website, I still get the 'encoding error, contact website owners'...
So I'm still trying to see if a person on the boards might be connected with this rescue group in Lebanon, Oh to check about adoption.

You could try calling those numbers and see what you get...
Dachshund Rescue of Ohio
Kathleen Winter - (513) 933-0585
Hazel Park, MI: Debra Boucher - (248) 547-5161 Email
There are physical addresses and phone numbers, try them. Email is not the only or always the best form or contacting someone.
Yeah... calling will be my next option... I was wanting to explore the website and see what the group was like first.
I was able to find their listings on petfinder for some available rescues... just wanted to check into the organization as well.
Thanks for the replies!
Just checked the info on the petfinder listing and in the place for the telephone number it says, 'please use e-mail'... so.... since I've done that already I guess that's the only way to find out about this organization.

Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue. Northern Ohio Representative: Mary Ann Krawczynski. Phone 440-989-4295 (home). mhawklet@aol.com. www.c2cdr.org.
We got our dapple Nixie through her.
Forgot to mention that Mary Ann is from Elyria, Ohio, which is about 20 miles from Cleveland.
Thanks for all the help folks!
I received a very fast response to my e-mail with an application form. I'm filling it out now. Probably giving TOO much information about us, our house, our dog family etc. etc., but I don't want to leave anything out.
I'll let you know when it is sent so you all can start crossing your fingers for me!
