    Default Bad table manners

Charlie has a little routine. Every night he eats his dinner, then he jumps onto the couch where we are (yes, I am a perpetual couch potato). Once he's jumped up, he lets out his nightly burp! I swear, every night! And it's so funny, because you can hear it travel through his long little body until it reaches the mouth. :p

It was particularly loud tonight, which is what prompted me to share. :faint:

How funny! Must be his way of saying, "Dinner was great!!"

My husband just figured out a week or two ago that dogs burp. "Was that a dog who did that? Dogs burp?? Really??"

If only mine would burp...they do the *other* and its just pain rotten!! I remember one day at Pa's, my dad was holding Heidi. The next thing you know she goes scootching across the floor...he had that dog down off his lap and far away from him so fast. I looked over at him w/ a wierd look on my face and all he said was "Your dog just farted" I'm cracking up just thinking about it now...if you only knew my dad...he doesn't say things like "fart" From that day forward she is known as "Sulfur Butt" when she's having a *gasy* day

After Oscar had been with my parents for 2 weeks eating everything in sight. He came home gassy. He did the "other" thing and then he turned his head to look back there and see where the noise and air came from. He seemed really surprised by it!!!!

Hmm, that is funny, I've never had a dog that burped.
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

This thread just cracks me up!

My Aussie Shepherd used to run away from herself after she tooted. It would be so funny. I guess she didn't know what it was, and got scared.

Casey belches and then gives us the L@@K as If to say "Waz that me? Excuse Me!

Taffy has tiny little lady like burps that you wouldn't notice unless you were right there when she does it. :hearts:

Unfortunately.....she is also the total master/mistress of the old silent but deadly . If possible, she blames them on daddy.....because we know no girl would do that. :angel7:
