When I first bought my house, I was going over the boundaries in my yard with the fence guy and the next door neighbor came over and suggested that I not ruin the landscaping by putting up a fence. He said that the reason why he bought his house was because of the landscape (view). I asked him how he suggested that I keep my dogs inside the yard and he suggested an invisible fence. The realtor, fence guy and I all looked at each other and the fence guy told the neighbor that while I could keep my dogs inside the fence, they would not be safe because of the dogs that are apparently allowed to run around the neighborhood and we all looked down at the neighbor's loose dog and then look over at two other dogs that also were roaming my new yard. Needless to say, I got my fence and the neighbor never complained.
Even then, I still don't let them outside without me with them because I found out about the hawks and owls that got real interested in my dogs. I guess they think that my dogs are a couple of groundhogs or something.
