    Default How we got doxies

On the first day of creation, God created the dachshund.
On the second day, God created man to serve the dachshund.
On the third day, God created all the animals of the earth (especially the horse) to serve as potential food for the dachshund.
On the fourth day, God created honest toil so that man could labor for the good of the dachshund.
On the fifth day, God created the tennis ball so that the dachshund might or might not retrieve it.
On the sixth day, God created veterinary science to keep the dachshund healthy and the man broke.
On the seventh day, God tried to rest.......but He had to walk the dachshund!!!

I like that and have saved it.
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon
