Since everyone is talking about how slow the posting is this week I figured I'd share a little story with everyone.
Two weeks after I moved to MD I took Jack and went to the local Wal-mart, got a pizza from Domino's (yecch!) and stopped at the local 7-11 convenience store for some stuff. I pulled in and put the brake on - uh oh, no brake! I kept going...finally I slammed the brake on and finally stopped but not until I had broken the front bottom window of the 7-11 store.
Now I've always seen these stories on the news and thought "Gee, it must take a special kind of stupid to hit a whole store!" Well, I'm that special kind of stupid! :duh::duh:
Thank Dog that Jack was strapped in his seat belt and no one got hurt. The police officer couldn't be nicer, but I was mortified that I actually hit a building. Jack was barking his head off and customers kept asking me if I was alright. Someone even asked if I wanted a cup of coffee - that's the last thing my jangled nerves needed. I didn't even get a ticket. I drove home very SLOWLY!

:omg: That would be so scary! I can't even imagine suddenly having no brake. I"m glad you and Jack were okay. That would be embarassing. Glad the police officer was nice

I think my car mat get stuck between the accelerator and the brake and when I tried to brake it slipped onto the accelerator. I'm just glad no one was hurt.

This happened to me at an intersection when I had a RED Light! Incredibly scarey. Glad you are all right.

Happened to me once but I was on the HWY so it was not bad, but really scary when you realize what happened.
