I am so proud of my little man! We competed in the HUGE Houston show this past weekend, and he got his Rally Novice title!
On Friday he got a 90 (out of 100) and placed third in a group of 14!
On Saturday he got a 90 again (we're consistent at least, lol).
I am just elated with those scores considering all of the distractions, and the fact that he wouldn't stop sniffing the ground for snacks. The judge said I should be super proud of my accomplishments with a breed that doesn't traditionally do well in obedience.
I love his little professor-esque bow tie even more now. I am going to have to make him one that is a little nicer though, because he's been promoted!
With all of his ribbons!
I should have taken the glass out of the frame for the picture, I suppose. Oh well.
Piper didn't compete this year because she JUST discovered that she has a brain. Next year it'll be her turn in Novice while Bailey competes in Advanced.
There was a gentleman there competing in regular obedience with his mini black and tan that walked by and said to me, "I have one just like that, I'll give him to you for free today," smirked and rolled his eyes. I said, "one of those days?" And he just sighed. A little while later he walked back by with his dachsie and I said, "He is just adorable!" The guy said, "not today!" and laughed as he walked off. Cracked me up. (When he got back to his crating area he picked the little guy up and gave him some tasty snacks, and had been loving on him all day, so I knew the above comments were sarcastic.)
