hmm... I wonder if this would work for Heidi in the car. She doesn't get car sick just very very stressed. So much so that if we are going on a trip we have to give her benadryl to relax her. I might try this on the next short (in town) car ride.

I'm trying a Thundershirt on our foster, and she does well with it. However- Holy Velcro!! There is a lot, and it's not a relaxing sound. Plus the neck tab is fun to chew. Our behaviorist suggested a snug-fitting t-shirt. This wrap looks so easy!! Thanks again!
(P.S. We might have a "mummy" for Halloween.)

) I've been very lucky over all these years to not have a noise-reactive dog, except for James who would bark like mad if he heard fireworks, no matter what time of day...or night 
it was. And then as he got older and deafer that didn't even spark a response any more. Maybe that's the trick! Only ever have old, deef doggies!

I've had great success using a tension wrap/thunder shirt with Scooter. It really does calm him so that he can lay down and sleep. He used to be VERY noise reactive. He barked, shook, paced, the whole stressed at loud noises thing and the thundershirts I made which are just fabric tension wraps made easy help him a lot. I think what really surprised me was that the more you use them, the better they seem to work. The last time it thundered, I woke up and laid there thinking "Do I need to get up and get the thundershirt?" Scooter woke up and raised his head and listened and then laid his head back down and we both went back to sleep. What a blessing!
