Default "Breaking Up" with a dog walker(advice)

I might be jumping the gun(we are meeting with another dog walker tonight)....but one of my dog walkers(I have stuck with three this whole time)is double the other ones. She is great....but the price is steep. So, I've been rotating her and another one(they each get one day every other week and my other dog walker gets once a week)

So......how does one go about breaking up with one of their dog walkers? I could always keep her on call if I need her......but I am not good with this kind of thing(which is why I have three dog walkers right now)

It IS hard, especially when you like her. I've always found that the easiest way to do something like this is just to be honest with her. "I really like you, and Pippit does to0, but sadly, I just can't afford you any more." You don't even need to say she's too expensive in general, but put the onus on yourself and your own pocketbook. I've even found that often the other person will actually offer to lower their price (it happened with my lawn mower guy) if you put it to them like that.

Good suggestion! That's what I'd do.

I've always found being honest to be the easiest and best way to handle things like this and I like Paula's wording. You never know, she might decide that 3/4 or what she's getting now is better than nothing and lower her price.
