Default Fritz is with his new foster family

My Fritz went to his new foster family yesterday. I miss the little guy. But I could not leave him in out in the cold winter and risk losing him. On a good note, he is with my family members in the same town. My teenage neice gave him a nice warm bath. She plans on going to college to become a vet tech. We joke around about getting a animal rescue going together. I miss my pooch but it is for his own safety and comfort. I will get him back in the spring unless we are in our new home first.

Dachshunds are meant to be indoor dogs, pretty much 24/7. They are very social little dogs and need lots of family interaction.

I am glad he is staying with someone you love and trust. Hopefully you will be in your new home soon.

    Default Fritz

Hopefully by late spring or early summer we will be in our new home. We are with my in laws right now and could not have Fritz inside. I was to the point I was going to give him away as much as I did not want to just to keep him safe. With him being a minature he would not survive the winter outdoors. When we get into our new home we promised our son we will adopt a rescue dog and Fritz could have a playmate.

Glad he found a home where he is an inside dog...No dog should be left outside---they should be part of the family.

    Default A visit to Fritz

I went a paid a visit to Fritz and took him for a walk. His foster family/relatives got him a nice big fluffy dog bed and toys. When I walked in and he heard me say his name, he was so excited. There is nothing more precious than knowing how much you are loved by your pet. He also has a playmate named Jackson who is a cat.
