    Default Bad Mom, Good Scooter

I was walking Scooter on the golf course last night. Since I didn't get home until 6:00 it was completely dark out there. There was also a lot of cloud cover so there was no moon or stars lighting things up like there usually is. But the golf cart tracks are light concrete and I usually have no problems. Scooter was ready to go since it had rained all day on Monday so he'd been confined a lot. I had this brilliant idea that we would jog instead of walk. I figured I knew the cart track well and it would be okay. NOT. We're jogging along and I tripped on an uneven spot in the concrete and fell flat out on the ground, skinning my knuckles and taking out the knee of my pants.

When I fell, I let of the leash. Oh, s**t! I knew it scared him when I fell and I saw him shy away from me out of the corner of my eye. I rolled over to see if Scooter had taken off and there he was about 6 or 8 feet from me laying down What a good boy! I got up and walked over to him and picked up the leash. He was looking very unsure of what was going on or what to do. I just petted him and told him he was very good boy and he gave me some Scooter kisses and we finished our walk walking.

I'm not badly hurt. I put arnica on my knuckles and my knee last night and they hardly hurt at all this morning. Note to myself: Do not jog when you can't see the track.

What a star!!!! All that hard work is paying off. for all your owies...however, I'd say the moral to this isn't don't jog when you can't see, but that jogging is just plain BAD for you :D.

HAD to read this one because it's usually the other way around on the Mom/Scoot-a-mute thing. LOL
