Buddy is slowly improving, and now is 8 weeks after IVDD surgery. We go for daily walks. His legs are a weensy bit stronger, so he stumbles less often. Proprioception is pretty good. No knuckling over. But he still places his rear feet too central underneath his body rather than under his hips. That's why he falls when changing direction. He still does the bunny-hop (for speed), and still has that weirdo waddle gait rather than normal alternating of legs. Still cannot lift his rear legs to climb a street curb. Dunno if he ever will? We hope so. Most importantly, he's independent & happy-go-lucky. Yay!
His 3rd PT session was today, and did the underwater treadmill again. After that, he magically switched back to correct walking gait, for a while. That is a wonderful machine.
