    Default Penny's progress.

I will post pictures tomorrow sometime hopefully, but Penny has lost a total of 16 lbs and has been cleared for spay surgery and our vet will remove her lower tumors (she has six, 3 down low and 3 on her chest area) free of charge during the spay and have them sent off. If they are cancerous, he will remove the others. We will probably stabilize her weight a little, then set her up an appointment. Yay for Penny and please good vibes and hope these tumors aren't cancerous. Since her weight loss, she is a totally different dog. Before she would lay around, lazy and grumpy. Now she is peppy, happy, and she runs all over the place at the dog park chasing other dogs...ears pricked up and tail wagging. She is so much happier and so much healthier.

WOW Penny has lost 16#? That is amazing, and what a good job you did.

Sending good thoughts and prayers for her surgery. I hope all the tumors are benign.
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon
