Savannah and I have been spending some quality bonding (read: ain't nobody sleepin' UP IN HERE!) time in the living room and outside. At 11 pm, and 2:30 am and 5 a.m. ish.
I have to make a safe place... everywhere was safe from Duchie as she would never bother anything. She did occasionally have a piddle accident, but that was to be expected of an older doggie and totally not her fault.
This one - Argh! BUSY all the time. and goes from zero to Cujo in nothing flat. Also goes from zoomies to snoozies pretty fast. I have a baby gate up in the kitchen so I can corral her in here while I am cooking or whatever (as in right now sitting in the floor on DLC... coffee up on a kitchen chair and the cord to my charging laptop clipped in my hair from above so she won't eat it...) NO there will be no photos of that, so quit asking...
Where Duchie was in her golden years for so long and we had a companionable, relaxed relationship, this one is totally different, and I think that is good. Every dog - like every person - is different, and I think her being the polar opposite of HRH is good for ME...Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Wagoner 1993-2012.

Well, I'd be lyin' if I said that puppy energy doesn't make up a small part of why I do seniors only

Yo, best estimates on HRH said she was 5 or 6 when we found her, so she was well past puppyhood...
She did enjoy subdued, dignified zoomlets there for a while but I think her puppy mill mommyhood had taken so much of her joy away that she was just overjoyed to be so loved...
Holy Terror on the other hand believes anyone blessed with her presence is the lucky one and should be appropriately grateful

Gigi never destroy any of her bed either. Though she really digged the towels.
