Earthdog looks like fun. I'd like Buddy to try it, only if it's calm & peaceful.

But I dunno what it's really like. It seems to encourage them to go ballistic after a rat. Does it? This would be contrary to what we've been teaching Buddy. I'm ok with calm hunting & tracking only. No digging, no chasing critters, no barking, no biting.

Question: Is that realistic? What's it really like? And does it make them more aggressive towards cats, squirrels, chipmunks, skunks, etc.?

    These are good questions!
Earthdog is to encourage hunting and barking and digging. I agree with you, I would rather have calm hunting and tracking since we are in the city and the best parks with squirrels require a leash.

I've seen these programs on TV. Never thought about it making the dogs more aggressive. My two run toward things but Penny won't even hurt a lizard. I think it is more of the dog's nature.
